Relay for Life

Friday night, April 30th, seven of the Community Boot Camps girls and their families got together to Relay for Life in McKinney, Texas! It was a very fun and family oriented event. It was shocking to see how many of the survivors wearing purple shirts were young children. We are so blessed to live in a time where the survivor rate is so high... which brings me to a place of hope for my mom! Three of Brenda's grandchildren attended and ran their rear ends off till 11pm! (no hope for them sleeping in late though!) There were many sad moments as we watched all the families in tears during the luminary service as they remembered their moms, brothers, aunts and cousins that they lost. I have hope that I will not need a luminary candle next year remembering my mom, but one rejoicing in her remission!
