It Is Finished!!

I tried to update the blog several weeks ago and in the midst of doing so, crashed Nicks laptop. I loaded pictures and proceeded to "load" a virus as well.  It was an expense upload to say the least.  We finally got the laptop back from the repair shop.  Low and behold the next week MY laptop uploaded a virus and crashed as well. But mine will have to wait to be repaired.  I am only hoping my files are still in there somewhere as well as my book material that I had started - we shall see.

I have been up and down health wise. I have had some viral infections that seem to be difficult for me to ward off and then began to lose some weight - about 10 more lbs.  Nick says I am just skin stretched over bones. I like to be thin BUT NOT this thin.  My appetite is finally coming back but so is terrible heartburn which seems to be a side effect that is lattent of the radiation. I am on some medicine for that to see if it could be esophagititis. Will know more in a month if it doesn't go away.

I had my mamogram and that came back normal.  Good news!

Today, Skip (our youngest, well 27) went with me to get my first MRI since my diagnosis and I was in the machine 30 minutes on my belly.  I will have the results in about a week.  Hoping for a good outcome.  I had to take a valium to lay there due to my L-1-2 disc now being collapsed and it being painful to be in that position for so long.  I really needed that valium last night as I did not sleep hardly at all. The anxiety and anticipation of this test is nerve wracking!  I don't seem nervous, but it comes out in other ways in the end.

This afternoon as I type this, I am a walking zombie I am so beat!  I wish dinner was cooked and we actually could use someone to mow the grass as Nick had Kidney stones removed on Monday and he is recovering from that.  If I had the energy I would do it, but that certainly is NOT gonna happen.  The grass will just have to continue to grow!

We are enjoying being out of our one bedroom apartment and in a three bedroom rental home and been doing some gardening at the Christ Community Church garden. I love pulling weeds all by myself and just having time to think.  Although the mosquitos over there will carry you off if you let them.

Getting to share lots of summer time with our grandkids little bits at a time, that's a big blessing for me as a grandma.  It's especially great having Camrin living with us. He is 11 months old and a sweet, sweet little man.  Smart too.

I will repost once I get my results of the MRI.  Continue to pray for positive outcomes and that I stay in remission.  God is good. We continue to praise Him for His work in all of this.  Thank you B3 Fight supporters!  Brenda
